Why does Migration Licenses renews on 01 January 2024. Why dont you prorate the pricing?

I am buying Migration licenses on 25 March 2023 but my renewal date shown at the checkout is 01/01/2024. Why don't you prorate the 2023 price and charge only for 9 months of 2023?
