G/L Accounts (Chart Of Accounts) Replication in Intercompany Solution

G/L Accounts (Chart Of Accounts) Replication in Intercompany Solution

This feature enables you to replicate G/L Accounts data across branch companies.

To synchronize G/L Accounts data you must activate the Chart of Accounts object in Company Template in the Intercompany Landscape. Then you need to link the configured template to the branch company in the landscape. Now, you can create G/L Accounts in one company and it gets replicated across the branch companies.

To open the G/L Accounts window, in the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose Financials  -> Chart of Accounts.

The following table displays the different G/L Account structure of the source and target company based on that the G/L accounts are replicated to the target companies.

  1. Based on above table, if source and target company’s G/L Account structure is normal i.e. Un-segmented, the G/L Accounts are replicated to the target companies.
  2. If source company G/L Account structure is segmented and target company G/L Account structure is un-segmented, the G/L Accounts are not replicated to the target companies.
  3. If source company G/L Account structure is segmented and target company G/L Account structure is also segmented, but the number of segments in the source and target companies are not same, the G/L Accounts are not replicated to the target companies.
