Setting Up Structure Replication of User Defined Fields (UDFs)
1. In the top menu bar of the Intercompany Administration Console, choose the Preferences option.
2. In the left frame, choose the UDF Structure Replication option.
The application may take some time to
display the user-defined field’s replication data.
3. In the UDF Structure Replication table, choose the (…) (Browse) button.
4. In the selection window, in the Choose entry field, select an object from the dropdown list and then choose the Select button.
The UDFs for the selected object and its sub-objects supported for structure replication are displayed.
Note
All the UDFs from selected SAP B1 Company are displayed. The UDF with the Validation as Advanced is not supported for replication.
UDF structure replication is only supported for the following objects and sub-objects:
• Business Partner Master Data
o Business Partner Header
o BP Addresses
o BP Contact Employees
• Item Master Data
o Item Master Header
• Project Codes
o Project Code
• Item Groups
o Item Groups
• Price Lists
o Price Lists
• Equipment Card
o Equipment Card
• Marketing Documents
o Document Header
o Document Lines
o Document Additional Expenses
• Batch/Serial Numbers
o Batch and Serial Numbers
• Journal Entry/Vouchers
o Journal Transactions – Header
o Journal Transactions – Rows
5. In the UDF Structure Replication table, in the Field Name field, select the checkbox for the UDFs which you would like to replicate the structure.
· Choose the Select All button to select all UDFs.
· Choose the Deselect All button to deselect all UDFs.
6. Choose the Save button to save the information.
Note
· UDFs Structure in journal entries/journal vouchers and projects are replicated to all the companies configured in the intercompany landscape including consolidation company.
· For all other objects, UDF structure replication is only supported for head office, branch and template companies.
7. Choose the Target Companies button to select the target companies to replicate UDF structure in the selected companies. By default, all the branch companies are selected automatically.
8. Choose the Replicate button to replicate the UDF structure.
Note
· The UDF with the Validation as Advanced is not supported for replication. Hence, this type of UDFs are not be visible in the UDF List.
· If the UDF is linked to any UDT or UDO and this UDT or UDO does not exist in the receiver company then the UDF fails to replicate.
· The update and remove operation of the UDF is not supported for replication.
9.
Click on icon to display the replication status of the UDF structure.
10.
If you unintentionally close the UDF
Replication Results screen during replication, click the icon to reopen the page.
11.
If the replication process completes
successfully, on the UDF Structure Replication page, the icon is displayed.
Note
If you encounter some problems during UDF Structure Replication, you may choose the Reset button to clear the UDF replication queues.
Recommendation
Close all the SAP Business One instances while replicating the structure of User Defined Fields (UDFs).
