Setting Up Structure Replication of User Defined Tables (UDTs)

The UDT structure replication is only supported for branch and template companies.

1.    In the top menu bar of the Administration Console, choose the Preferences option.

2.    In the left frame, choose the UDT Structure Replication option.

            

3.    In the selection window, in the Choose entry field, select a base company from the dropdown list.

4.    Choose the (…) (Browse) button next to base company name.   

5.    In the selection window, in the Choose entry field, select a UDT from the dropdown list and then choose the Select button.

The UDFs for the selected UDTs supported for structure replication are displayed.

Note

Following Object Type of UDTs are supported:

·         No Object

·         Master Data

·         Master Data Rows

·         Document

·         Document Rows

·         No Object with Auto. Increment

6.   In the Field name area, select the checkboxes for the fields which you want to register for replication.

·         To select all fields, choose the Select All button.

·         To deselect all fields, choose the Deselect All button.

7.   Choose the Save button to save the information.

            8.    Choose the Target Companies button to select the target companies to replicate UDT structure in the selected companies. By default, all the branch companies are selected automatically.
            9.    Choose the Replicate button to replicate the UDT structure.     
                                                                                

Note

·         The UDF with the Validation as Advanced is not supported for replication. Hence, this type of UDFs are not be visible in the UDF’s List of the UDT.

·         In the UDT structure, if the UDF’s is linked to any UDT or UDO and this UDT or UDO does not exist in the receiver company then the UDF fails to replicate.

·         The update and remove operation of the UDF’s in the UDT is not supported for replication.

·         UDT structure replication will only work if UDTs are added/updated using the SAP Business One GUI or via SAP Business One DI API UDT Object. For example, if 2 UDFs are added in the UDT and it is replicated, later on 3 UDFs are added then all the 5 UDFs will be listed down to be replicated.

·         All object types of User-defined tables are supported by Intercompany Solution.

·         User-Defined Objects (UDO's) replication is not supported by Intercompany Solution.

10. Click on  icon to display the replication status of the UDT structure.

      11. If you unintentionally close the UDT Replication Results screen during replication, click the  icon to reopen the page.

12. If the replication process completes successfully, on the UDT Structure Replication page, the  icon is displayed.

Note

If you encounter some problems during UDT Structure Replication, you may choose the Reset button to clear the UDT replication queues.

Recommendation

                  Close all the SAP Business One instances while replicating the structure of User Defined Tables (UDTs).
