Troubleshooting the "Another instance of process is already executing" error during the deployment

This error occurs when the system detects that another deployment or related background process is still in progress. To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Reset the Deployment

    • After the error message appears, the Deployment Result screen will be displayed.

    • Click Reset to clear the current deployment state.

    • Once the reset is complete, click Refresh Companies to update the company list.

  2. Check for Pending Transactions

    • Before attempting redeployment, open the Queue Monitor and ensure there are no pending or in-progress transactions.

    • This message commonly appears if a task, transaction, or process is still running in the background while a deployment is attempted.

  3. (Optional) Stop the SAP B1 Event Sender Service

    • As a precautionary measure, you may temporarily stop the SAP B1 Event Sender service to prevent background execution conflicts.

    • Restart the service once the deployment process is completed.

  4. Redeploy the Solution

    • After completing the above steps, proceed to redeploy the Intercompany Solution.

    • The process should now continue without detecting another active instance.

Note:
If the issue persists even after these steps, it may indicate a stuck background process or service conflict. In such cases, consider restarting the relevant services or the application server before retrying the deployment.
