WDF 2540032 - The InventoryQuantity property in the document exchange is made optional in the company template
The InventoryQuantity property for intercompany document exchange has now been made optional in the company template. This enhancement introduces added flexibility in managing inventory quantity during document exchange. This update is particularly beneficial for companies having global item master but with different inventory UoMs across entities. In such scenarios, the automatic replication of inventory quantity could result in inaccuracies, as the values might not correctly reflect the actual quantities when UoMs do not align. Making the property optional allows companies to avoid this issue by deselecting the property in the company template, preventing incorrect quantity in the intercompany trade.
The enhancement is made in the company template for the following document exchange cycle:
1. Purchase Order-Sales Order
2. Delivery-Good Receipt PO
3. Goods Return-Return
4. AR Invoice-AP Invoice
5. AP CreditMemo-AR CreditMemo
6. AR CreditMemo-AP CreditMemo
7. AR Debit Memo-AP Debit Memo
8. AR Reserve Invoice-AP Reserve Invoice
9. AR Correction Invoice-AP Correction Invoice
Note:
If you are working with a global item master that has different inventory units of measures (UoMs) across various entities, and the item is managed by batch. In such scenarios, when an intercompany transaction is processed, the quantity displayed in the batch screen of the receiving company may not be accurate due to the variation in inventory UoMs. To ensure accuracy, it is recommended that the user manually adjust or manage the quantity in the batch screen before posting the document.
Solution
The enhancement described above has been incorporated in the Intercompany Integration Solutions version 54 and higher versions.
