Symptom
The Intercompany add-on cannot be installed on SAP HANA DB. The Intercompany add-on log contains the following message: "... [HDBODBC32] General error; 258 insufficient privilege: Not authorized
A freely defined DB user fails to create UDFs, UDTs and Database scripts. The default log location for the Intercompany add-on is C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\SAP\Intercompany\LOG
Solution
Workaround for Intercompany integration solution 2.0 PL25 or lower versions:
In order to install the Intercompany add-on on SAP HANA with a non-SYSTEM user (such as B1ADMIN), you have to assign the role SAP_INTERNAL_HANA_SUPPORT to that user, granting sufficient privileges to the role "SAP_INTERNAL_HANA_SUPPORT" essentially requires. Please follow the steps as described in SAP Note
2371497.
With Intercompany integration solution 2.0 PL26, dependency on the SAP_INTERNAL_HANA_SUPPORT role for add-on installation on SAP B1 HANA DB has been removed; the workaround and the mentioned privileges are no longer required.
