Common (same) users may require access to multiple subsidiaries (companies). License assignment is now made easy to allow common users across the intercompany landscape to assign license in one go.
To allocate the intercompany license to users, perform the following:
1. In the Administration Console, in the top menu bar, choose the Setup option. In the left frame, choose the User Allocation option.
User Allocation page is displayed.
2. In the User Allocation page, select the SLD Category
3. In the SAP B1 Company select the option “ALL” or any specific company branch code. If the specific company is selected then application loads the SysId and Branch Code of the SAP B1 Company.
4. In the filter option, Show All, Allocated or Non-Allocated can be selected as:
Show All: It shows all the Users in the list.
Allocated: This shows a list of users who have been allocated Walldorf licenses.
Non-Allocated: This shows a list of users who have not been allocated Walldorf licenses.
5. Choose the Get User button to fetch the user details from SAP Business One Company. List of all available users is displayed.
6. Select the check box next to the users to which you would like to allocate the license.
Note:
• All the common users exist across the companies are listed on top.
• Select the checkbox on the top to select or de-select all the users in the list for each company.
• The user selection checkbox is grayed out if the particular user doesn't exist in the company and it can not be selected.
7. After selecting the users, choose the Allocate License button. The application prompts the user "This action will save the license allocation to user(s). This may take few minutes; do you want to continue?" choose Yes to continue.
8. The User Allocation Result window is displayed. This window displays the status of user allocation.
In the User Allocation Result screen, the icons represent as:
This icon represents the license is allocated successfully.
This icon represents either the license is not allocated or removed successfully.
This icon represents the license allocation process is in progress.
9. You may also check the user allocation result status by choosing the Check Status button.
Note
• You should always have valid intercompany license count as SAP Business One license count, otherwise user list will not be displayed in the User Allocation window.
• You can allocate users with intercompany license with the max limit of SAP Business One licenses in a particular company
Similarly, you may deallocate the license assigned to users by deselecting check box next to the users and then choose the Allocate License button.
Solution
The enhancement described above will be fixed in the Intercompany integration solutions version 48 and higher versions.
