WDF 2520036 – Enhancement to support role-based customer synchronization in WooCommerce Connector

WDF 2520036 – Enhancement to support role-based customer synchronization in WooCommerce Connector

Currently, customers are initialized and synchronized for the User with Customer role in the WooCommerce application. Similarly, customers are downloaded for the User with Customer role in WooCommerce when using the Master Data Mapping Tool.

Enhancements in Master Data Mapping Tool

To open the Master Data Mapping Tool, navigate to Administration → Integration Hub → Master Data Mapping Tool

The following enhancement has been introduced:

  1. An additional field, Customer Role, is introduced with a drop-down list to select the roles when the Customer object is selected.
  2. All available Enums are listed along with the All option.
  3. All customers associated with the selected role are downloaded.

Enhancement in WooCommerce Settings (Initialization and Synchronization)

To open the WooCommerce Settings window, navigate to Administration → Integration Hub → WooCommerce Settings

The following enhancement has been introduced:

  1. The Select WooCommerce Customer Role setting has been introduced in the WooCommerce Settings in SAP Business One.
  2. Along with this setting, a drop-down list is provided to select a single value. All available Enums are listed along with the All option.
  3. The Customer role is selected by default.
  4. The user can select either All or an individual role.
  5. A Browse button is provided, along with the setting to add roles not included in the standard WooCommerce application.
  6. The customer will be synchronized during Sales Order synchronization using the same settings in WooCommerce Settings. Currently, all customers are synchronized with the order.
  7. The setting is editable, which means that the user can change the setting at any point in time.
  8. If the user has created a Sales Order in WooCommerce for a customer role that is not selected in the general setting, the order will be synchronized to SAP Business One with a guest customer.
Recommended WooCommerce Settings after applying this hotfix
  1. Select WooCommerce Customer Role – In case you want to download users with multiple roles, select All. Otherwise, select Customer to download only users with the Customer role.
  2. Create Customer in SAP Business One Using – On First Order
Note

WooCommerce does not provide an API to retrieve customers based on a modified timestamp. However, the existing data is still synchronized once during the initialization phase. Thereafter, a complete customer master data synchronization must be performed weekly, monthly, or at a higher frequency.

This synchronization downloads all customer data from WooCommerce to ensure that customer information remains synchronized between the systems.

However, new customers will still be created when their orders are integrated into the SAP Business One. If a customer does not exist in  the SAP Business One, the integration will automatically create the customer before processing the order.
