WDF 2154976 - Using the Intercompany Integration Solution for SAP Business One for Non-Localized Countries

Symptom

This WDF Note provides information and best practices for using the Intercompany integration solution for SAP Business One (integration solution) for non-localized countries.

The Administrator´s Guide for the Intercompany integration solution lists all localized countries.
According to this guide, the integration solution is currently localized and fully supported for the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, P.R. China, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, and USA. Furthermore, all countries included in the Central MENA localization (United Arab Emirates/Egypt/Lebanon/Oman/Qatar/Saudi Arabia) are supported. 

Actually, the integration solution is currently being used by customers in more than 65 countries; the following information shows the possibilities and conditions for this.

Solution

The intercompany integration solution can be easily used for non-localized countries.

As of Intercompany integration 2.0 PL21, an improved approach to run the solution for non-localized countries has been implemented. Now, the company template can be customized to the requirements of the non-localized countries and assigned to the non-localized branches configured in the Intercompany landscape. For more information, refer to "Company Template Configuration" in the Administrator´s Guide.

In addition, the language customization feature also allows you, in non-localized countries, to upload custom language resource strings on reports and alert notifications. For details, see the User Guide.

Please pay attention to the following conditions:

A. Scope of Support

Walldorf handles incidents on program errors in the intercompany integration solution also for non-localized countries, as long as the reported issue can be reproduced in a localized country version.
When creating customer incidents, please provide the full context (outline using the intercompany integration solution for a non-localized country), the SAP Business One version and patch level, the intercompany integration solution version and patch level, and name the localized country version in which you reproduced the issue.

B. Responsibilities

The partner/the implementing customer must ensure that the custom solution works well. We recommend very extensive testing and detailed trying of the custom solution, under responsibility of partner/the implementing customer.
