WDF 2000014 - Intercompany Integration Solution 2.0 Versions 41 to 51 have been updated with enhancements and fixes

This WDF Note contains information related to enhancements and fixes incorporated in the latest builds available for download for the Walldorf Intercompany integration solution 2.0 Version 41 to 51, as well as its embedded SAP Business One Integration Hub.

Feature Enhancements:

Intercompany Solution:

1. System Health Check tool for troubleshooting

The “system health check” tool is introduced in the Intercompany Administration Console in Intercompany Version 41 to Version 51.

This innovative feature empowers administrative users to initiate a thorough health check, obtaining a wealth of technical and functional information about the intercompany modules.

This tool simplifies the diagnostics and significantly expedites the support ticket resolution process.

Administrative users can create a support ticket directly from the Intercompany Solution Setup > System Status dashboard with all relevant system information and Health Check data for faster diagnostics and resolution.

With the ability to export data in either XML or zip file formats, users gain a convenient means to share detailed information seamlessly when submitting a support ticket. This feature not only ensures a more efficient exchange of information but also empowers the support team with a comprehensive dataset, minimizing the need for back-and-forth communications to gather crucial details.

2. Enhancements in the License Administration of Intercompany Solution

      User Interface (UI) Enhancement:
  1. License administration user interface is redesigned to make it more visually appealing, user-friendly, and intuitive.
  2. Focus on improving navigation, layout, color schemes, and overall aesthetics.
  3. Ensure consistency in design elements and user experience across the application.
      Functional Enhancement:
  1. Prioritize and implement new features or improvements to existing ones based on user feedback and business goals.
  2. Enhance the performance, speed, and reliability of the application.
  3. Consider scalability and flexibility to accommodate future needs.

3. Intercompany solution version information is available in the administration console

Information about the Intercompany solution version is available in the Intercompany administration console. It helps users and administrators track the current version of the intercompany software.
When seeking support or troubleshooting issues, support teams may check the version information in the administration console itself to provide more targeted assistance and solutions.

4. Enhancement to manually sync the license information

The Refresh License Info. button is available on the Application Deployment Status window in SAP Business One. Users can click on the Refresh License Info. button to get the latest information about the license.
These enhancements collectively contribute to more efficient and effective license management. Providing the ability to get real-time license status information.
To open the Application Deployment Status window from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose Administration-->Integration Hub-->Application Deployment Status.

5. Improvement in Intercompany solution add-on installation process

Intercompany solution add-on script has undergone significant improvements in its execution capabilities, specifically addressing issues related to database updates and the challenges associated with locating fields within tables. This enhancement showcases a robust approach to error handling, with the script now equipped to gracefully manage scenarios where it encounters difficulties in identifying a particular field during database updates.

6. Streamlined License validation check

A significant enhancement has been implemented to improve user experience within the Intercompany solution.
The optimization in the application streamlines the user experience by retrieving license information only once during user login, as opposed to calling the license information with every intercompany process execution. This improvement not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to a smoother and more responsive user interaction. By minimizing the frequency of license information calls, the application reduces unnecessary overhead during intercompany processes, leading to quicker response times and a more user-friendly environment.

7. Enhanced validation on display settings while connecting Intercompany solution add-on

The Intercompany add-on now incorporates a robust validation mechanism to ensure seamless integration with SAP Business One. During initialization, the add-on meticulously checks the decimal separator and thousand separator values against the system's regional settings. In the event of a mismatch, the add-on takes a proactive approach by preventing startup, thereby averting potential data interpretation discrepancies. This enhancement not only safeguards the integrity of numerical data but also enhances the overall reliability of the Intercompany add-on by aligning it precisely with the system's regional configuration.

8. The "Reset Add-On Version" button is introduced in the Application Deployment Status

The introduction of the "Reset Add-On Version" button in the Application Deployment Status screen marks a significant enhancement to the system's functionality, specifically designed to address challenges encountered during the installation of the intercompany add-on. This button serves a crucial role by facilitating the clearing of the CTX_CONF table, a pivotal step in resolving issues associated with the installation process.

9. Supporting the SAP B1 “Support” user

The Intercompany solution allows the login of the “Support” user without allocating the Intercompany license.
This user account allows partner support personnel to log on to the customer system without requiring an intercompany license, thus avoiding the inconvenience of requiring licensed users to deallocate the intercompany license to free up a license.
The support user account is provided solely to allow support activities to occur in the system without affecting licensed users.
This user plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth support operations of intercompany processes, and its functionality remains intact without requiring an additional intercompany license from Walldorf. This allows for efficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and support activities related to intercompany transactions, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the intercompany solution within the SAP B1 environment.
